With the many entertainment choices New York City has to offer, it can be difficult to make a choice. Look no further. “On Stage” host Frank DiLella has curated a list of “must-see” shows this week, directing you to the best of Broadway, off-Broadway and beyond.

“Jaja’s African Hair Braiding”

The world premiere of “Jaja’s African Hair Braiding” has set up shop at The Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on Broadway.

Dreams flourish and secrets are revealed in this new work by the playwright Jocelyn Bioh, which centers around a lively community in Harlem.  

Previews begin Tuesday, Sept. 12. The opening is set for Oct. 3.

“Infinite Life”

Moving to the off-Broadway scene, Pulitzer Prize Award-winner Annie Baker is back in the spotlight with “Infinite Life,” which is now playing at The Atlantic Theater Company.

In the play, Baker introduces five women from Northern, California — philosophizing about life and the bodies they inhabit.

“Infinite Life” is playing through Oct. 8.

Santino Fontana

Over at Broadway’s Living Room, don’t miss Tony Award-winner Santino Fontana.  

The Broadway favorite promises an evening of your favorite songs, plus showbiz tales about James Earl Jones and Ryan Gosling.  

Fontana is at 54 Below from Sept. 10 to Sept. 14.
