“Shucked” on Broadway

“Shucked,” the new musical comedy that centers around all things corn, is now in previews at The Nederlander Theatre.

The show stars Caroline Innerbichler as Maizy, Alex Newell as Lulu, John Behlmann as Gordy, Kevin Cahoon as Peanut, Andrew Durand as Beau, Ashley D. Kelley as Storyteller 1, and Grey Henson as Storyteller 2.  

“Shucked” officially opens on April 4.

 

Joe’s Pub

On the cabaret front, Justin Vivian Bond is back at Joe’s Pub paying tribute to the late songbird Julie London with the show “Justin Vivian Bond: London Calling.”  

The show is at The Pub through March 17.

And keeping with Joe’s Pub, celebrity bio-musical performer and writer Ryan Raftery returns to the venue for the seventh time.

This time taking on the matriarch of the Kardashian family — Kris Jenner.  

In his new jukebox style show, “Mother of the Year,” Raftery embodies Jenner and takes you on an unforgettable journey around the world that you’re not going to want to miss.  

“Ryan Raftery: Mother of the Year — the Kris Jenner Musical” plays March 15 to March 26.

 

Danny Visconti and John Hill at The Green Room 42

Moving uptown to The Green Room 42, on Wednesday night, John Hill and Danny Visconti will bring their sass and shade to the stage with their brand new act “Danny and John: Hair And Teeth.”  

Expect to hear some Bravo and Housewives dish and familiar tunes by Jessica Simpson and Beyoncé.  

 

Seth Rudetsky at The Café Carlyle

Broadway renaissance man Seth Rudetsky returns to The Café Carlyle on March 13 with stories and songs from the hit musical “Dreamgirls.” 

Rudetsky will be joined on stage by “Dreamgirls” alums Sharon Catherine Brown and Darius de Haas, along with comedian and Broadway performer Wayne Brady.

 

“Broadway Backwards” at The New Amsterdam Theater

The annual “Broadway Backwards” benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will take center stage at The New Amsterdam Theater on Monday.  

The concert will feature theater stars reinterpreting some musical classics and performing them through a LGBTQIA+ lens.  

Scheduled to perform Broadway favorites Lea Salonga, Robyn Hurder, Ali Stroker, Robbie Fairchild and more!
