Tony Award winner Brian Bedford has died.
Bedford died in his home in Santa Barbara, California after a battle with cancer.
He appeared in 12 Broadway plays throughout his six-decade career.
Bedford won an acting Tony Award for his work in a revival of "The School for Wives".
His last Broadway appearance was in 2011 in "The Importance of Being Earnest." He directed the revival and played Lady Bracknell, which earned him his seventh Tony nomination.
He was also the voice of Robin Hood in the animated Disney movie.
He did 29 seasons at the famed Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario, Canada.
The actor was inducted into the Theater Hall of Fame in 1997.
He is survived by Tim MacDonald, his partner of 30 years and husband since 2013.
Brian Bedford was 80 years old.
