Sonia Friedman is widely considered the most successful female theatrical producer in the world.

Her “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” is smashing box office records around the globe. She recently won the 2023 Tony Award for "Best Play" for Tom Stoppard’s “Leopoldstadt.”

This season, she is bringing the critically acclaimed revival of Stephen Sondheim’s “Merrily We Roll Along” to Broadway — starring Daniel Radcliffe and Jonathan Groff.

In addition, Friedman gave “On Stage” host Frank DiLella a preview of the highly anticipated new play “Stranger Things: The First Shadow.”

The play is based on the popular Netflix series, and will open in London in the fall with a Broadway transfer most likely happening next year.
