Bernadette Hogan joined Spectrum News NY1 in 2023 as a multimedia journalist covering the statehouse in Albany with the network’s political unit.

She graduated from Marist College with a bachelor's degree in English and Philosophy. Hogan grew up in Manhattan and Monmouth County, New Jersey.

Before joining Spectrum News, she worked as the New York Post's City Hall Bureau Chief covering Mayor Eric Adams. From 2019 to 2022, she worked as the Post's Albany Bureau Chief, focusing on the state Legislature and former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Hogan broke stories about the COVID-19 pandemic, the nursing home scandal and Cuomo's resignation.
