Maddie Gannon is a digital reporter for Spectrum News based in Washington, D.C., covering national politics with a focus on the White House.

Maddie was born and raised in Los Angeles and graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Journalism. Before joining Spectrum News, Maddie was the political reporter at KGET, the NBC affiliate in Bakersfield, Calif. She regularly covered Bakersfield Congressman and Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, conducting multiple one-on-one interviews and producing a one-hour documentary on his rise to the speakership. During the 2022 midterm elections, Maddie co-moderated a series of local debates, covered one of the most competitive House races in the nation, and interviewed nearly every state senate, assembly, and congressional candidate in Kern County. She also covered many of Gov. Gavin Newsom's trips to California's Central Valley.
