Louis Finley is the breaking news reporter for “Mornings On 1.”
Louis came to NY1 from WTEN in Albany, New York, where he served as a reporter and fill-in anchor. In his role as a reporter, he was nominated for two NY Regional Emmy Awards.
As part of WTEN, Louis led coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic and former Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s impeachment investigation and eventual resignation. Louis also created and produced a 30-minute sit-down interview with teenagers discussing the rising gun violence in the city of Albany, called “Through Their Eyes: Teens Talk Violence.”
Louis is a graduate of Temple University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in political science. During his college years, he interned at ABC News in New York. He’s excited to be back in New York City.
