Stef Manisero joined NY1 as a reporter in October 2021, and became weekend afternoon anchor in the summer of 2022.
Originally from Bay Ridge, Stef returned to New York City after spending the previous six years as an anchor for Spectrum News 1 Texas. Reporting in her home city, where she has family in all five boroughs, is a dream come true.
Stef loves a good story, and recognizes the power storytelling has to connect people. Some of her most memorable stories include covering several World Series, Super Bowl LI (the Tom Brady comeback Super Bowl!) and Hurricane Harvey, when she and her camera crew spent a week on a boat, rescuing people from flooded homes and bringing them to dry land.
Stef won an Emmy for her story on Mike Capps, the voice of the Round Rock Express, who says baseball saved him from his battle with PTSD after decades as a war correspondent. She’s also been nominated for seven Emmys, and has won three AP awards.
When she’s not reporting, you might find Stef playing or teaching tennis. She loves the Yankees, and is known for keeping her own game scorebooks for years. She also is a big fan of the Rangers, Packers and all things Michigan — Go Blue! @StefManisero.
