MVRPC partnered with Drive Electric Dayton, Heartland Charging Services and Dayton Metro Library to plug in a new Level 2 charger that is now available at the Trotwood Branch of the Dayton Metro Library.

The location is one of 24 total Level II EV chargers at parks, libraries and recreation facilities that are near completion.

“The network of electric vehicle chargers available to our community members continues to grow and provide expanded opportunity for sustainable transportation alternatives," said MVRPC Executive Director Brian O. Martin. "Through the dedicated efforts and collaboration of partners, this project adds 24 new Level II charging locations to the Blink Charging Network and brings more locations for our residents and visitors to plug-in."

The communities and organizations that applied and were selected include:

  • City of Bellbrook
  • City of Brookville
  • City of Centerville
  • Centerville-Washington Park District
  • City of Dayton
  • Dayton Metro Library
  • Five Rivers MetroParks/Miami Conservancy District
  • City of Kettering
  • Miami County Park District

MVRPC partnered with Michael Baker International for preliminary engineering and design and CTL Engineering Inc. for construction inspection. Heartland Charging Services was the winning bidder to install and operate the chargers.
