COLUMBUS, Ohio — Four small businesses in Ohio are getting a share of more than $1.1 million in funding from the state, the Ohio Department of Development announced Tuesday in a press release.

These loans will help the businesses in various aspects and create several full-time jobs in the state. The funding was approved by the Minority Development Financing Advisory Board.

"Behind every entrepreneur in Ohio is someone with grit, vision, and the hope of building not just a business, but a legacy," said Lydia Mihalik, director of the Department of Development, in the release. “We’re proud to support these small business owners as they grow their companies, create jobs, and strengthen their communities.”

Here’s the breakdown of the funds:

  • Brand Equity Pro, LLC, in Franklin County — $64,487 Women's Business Enterprise loan. The money will allow them to purchase a printer and create a new full-time job
  • Native Tree Care, LLC, in Clermont County — $245,804 Women's Business Enterprise loan. This money will allow the business to purchase new equipment, refinance debt and more
  • Sangfroid Stragtegy, LLC, in Cuyahoga County — $331,737 Women's Business Enterprise loan. This loan will offer them the chance to refinance debt and create five full-time jobs
  • Flairsoft, LTD, in Franklin County — $532,500 Minority Direct loan. They will purchase office space in Columbus, create three new full-time jobs and three others

“Since January 2022, Development has invested nearly $28 million in support to more than 300 businesses through the Women's Business Enterprise Loan Program, the Minority Direct Loan Program, the Ohio Micro-Loan Program, and the Ohio Minority Business Bonding Program,” the release reads. “Applications for loan programs remain open.”
