A busy Friday and Saturday are expected around the University of Hawaii’s SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center as both men’s volleyball matches are sold out. Per UH, this is the first time the 10,300-seat arena has sold out for back-to-back games since 1998. Officials are alerting the public to increased traffic in the area for the games.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early and plan for heavy traffic and limited parking in the lower campus area.
To help ease congestion at turnstile gates and in the parking structure, UH will open the doors to the arena 30 minutes before the usual 5:30 p.m.
On both nights, the first serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Game day parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Zone 20 structure. Parking is $10 to be paid at the booths near the point of entry at Dole Street or Waialae Avenue gates. Only cards or mobile wallet payments will be accepted, no cash. Parking staff will direct fans to park in Upper Campus lots if Zone 20 fills up.
