CINCINNATI — Matthew 25: Ministries, a humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization based in Blue Ash, Ohio, said it's going to help several parts of the south and Midwest after the regions faced tornadoes and flooding.

What You Need To Know

  • Parts of Cincinnati, New Richmond and many cities in Kentucky faced some of the worst flooding they've seen in a while

  • Matthew 25: Ministries will be handing out much needed supplies

  • Donations can be dropped off at their Blue Ash location, by mail or online

Notably, parts of Cincinnati, New Richmond and many cities in Kentucky faced some of the worst flooding they've seen in a while. The Ohio River crested above 60 feet earlier this week — more than double its normal size — and caused several towns in Kentucky to evacuate, made roads impassable and cut off residents to essential services.

Matthew 25: Ministries said it's partnering with Procter & Gamble to deploy Disaster Response teams to the impacted areas and hand out supplies, such as personal care items, cleaning products, baby supplies and also provide laundry services with Tide Loads of Hope mobile laundry units.

Matthew 25 said it continues to evaluate current needs and determine how it can help as many people as possible.

“We are deeply concerned for the residents of all impacted areas throughout the South and Midwest, who are impacted by these catastrophic storms,” said Tim Mettey, CEO of Matthew 25: Ministries. “Our teams will be on the ground in some of these areas, working to provide immediate relief and ensure that those affected have access to essential services and supplies. With the support of our partners at Procter & Gamble, we are committed to providing the critical services and supplies that will help these communities begin the recovery process.”

Donations can be made online or by check to Matthew 25: Ministries at 11060 Kenwood Rd. in Blue Ash, Ohio. Matthew 25 said 100% of donated funds will go toward Midwest and south flooding recovery efforts.

Matthew 25's response comes as Cincinnati begins cleanup efforts throughout the city. Starting Thursday and over the next few weeks, crews will be assessing damages to roads and buildings, cleaning up parks and helping property owners assess their damages.
