AUSTIN, Texas — Celebrity chef and Mayor of Flavortown Guy Fieri is teaming up with Austin-based Waterloo Sparkling Water to release three limited edition summer flavors.
Flavors include: Lemon Italian Ice, Huckleberry Cobbler and Spiced Mango Sorbet.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Guy Fieri on these fantastic sparkling waters, bringing to life our mutual love of epic flavor with a first-of-its-kind strategic brand collaboration in this competitive category,” says Kathy Maurella, CMO of Waterloo Sparkling Water.
According to Maurella, the collaboration was born when Fieri attended Waterloo’s summer launch last year and began brainstorming new flavors with the company.
The Flavortown-approved line of drinks are inspired by Fieri’s childhood memories and travels, according to the brand’s site.
Lemon Italian Ice is tart and sweet, reminiscent of Fieri’s East Coast summer family trips. An homage to “a favored spot in the Pacific Northwest,” Huckleberry Cobbler has the freshness of wild berries and the comfort of baking spices and streusel. Spiced Mango Sorbet is inspired by memories of vacations in Mexico, according to Fieri, a mix of mango, lime and “savory spice.”
“We’re goin’ big on flavor together! The team at Waterloo Sparkling Water is incredible at bringing flavor to life, so I knew they’d hit it out of the park with these limited-time sparkling waters inspired by some of my favorite flavors,” says Fieri.
The limited edition flavors will be available nationwide this summer only at Walmart, Target, Whole Foods, Albertsons Safeway, H-E-B, Central Market, Stop & Shop, Amazon, select Kroger divisions, Hy-Vee, Fresh Direct, Gopuff and more. Aldi is set to stock them in July.
Waterloo will kick off the launch in New York City by handing out free samples of the three new flavors on April 10 between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Look for Waterloo’s Epic Flavor Can Cruiser on West 18th Street (between 6th and 7th Avenue).
