WORCESTER, Mass. - Worcester Railers owner Cliff Rucker bought the team and brought them to the city 8 years ago, the Railers are in their 7th season on the ice, but Rucker's fingerprints are all over the city in so many different capacities and businesses, from the Worcester Ice Center skating rinks to the Palladium, and now his latest business venture is Auxilium which will help entrepreneurs and companies in their infancy to learn, grow and succeed.  To that end they are spearheading a new project called Start Up Week Worcester that will run April 8-10th and will have an innovation crawl taking people to local businesses to learn from them and even a Woo Tank event where local college kids will pitch ideas to a panel of investors, as well as a ton of workshops to help entrepreneurs and others in the business community.  "Start Up Week Worcester, this is the first time it's being held in the city,"  said Zachary Dutton, Executive Director of Auxilium, "it's a new event being put together by Auxilium in partnership with the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, the intent is to showcase the innovative history and companies that exist in Worcester.  And to introduce entrepreneurs and local business people to the different operations and companies that work here and to provide them with different educational opportunities to learn and network with each other."

"You see it in sports this ability to build teamwork and that's what we're doing here at Auxilium,"  said Stephanie Ramey, VP of Special Projects for Rucker Investments, "we're creating a community an innovation ecosystem for entrepreneurs to come together to support one another."
