CHARLESTON, S.C. — Charleston County is entering the first phase of its Disaster Assistance Home Repairs Program.

The County is inviting Non-Profit organizations to apply for the grant funding. The money will then be used to repair owner-occupied homes that were damaged by extreme weather conditions.

Once the non-profits are selected, homeowners will then have the ability to apply for repairs to their home.

This program is funded by a South Carolina State Housing Trust Fund Disaster Assistance Program grant that ammounts to over $900,000.

Information on phase two of the program will be released soon.

Applications are now open until April 18. Those who decide to apply will have to register for a Bonfire account on the Procurement portal. The RFQ Number for this program is 6080-25B.
