TAVARES, Fla. — A candlelight vigil in downtown Tavares celebrated the life of 10-year-old Xavier Williams.
He passed away after being admitted to a hospital for cardiac arrest in March.
He also showed signs of physical abuse.
Xavier's aunt Cameil Williams remembered his spirit at the vigil.
"Vibrant, joyful, and happy. Full of life kid," she said. "Thank you to everybody for the calls and prayers, the outpour of love, compassion, and support. Thank you."
Williams says a funeral is in the process of being planned.
Xavier's mother and her boyfriend were charged with second degree murder and aggravated child abuse.
They remain behind bars in Lake County.
