Opening Day for the MLB is March 27, and the two Texas teams are kicking it off with fan events.
The Houston Astros will begin their season at Daikin Park playing the New York Mets at 3:10 p.m. – accompanied with the Astros Opening Day Street Fest.
The event, presented by Budweiser, includes live music, giveaways and food trucks and is open to game ticket holders from 12 to 3 p.m.
The event’s website urges fans to arrive early, and attendees will also receive a 2025 Astros schedule magnet.
If you’re not in town for the excitement, tune into the game on Sports City News Network.
As for the Texas Rangers, their game against the Boston Red Sox at Globe Life Field starts at 3:05 p.m., with the gates open to ticket holders at 10 a.m.
The game is available on the Rangers Sports Network, through cable and streaming platforms.
The first 30,000 fans to arrive at the game will also receive a 2025 magnetic schedule.
And if you don’t have tickets, Live! By Loews – right next to Globe Life Field – is hosting a Rollertown Opening Day Celebration starting at 12 p.m., complete with live music, ticket giveaways, Opening Day merch and more.
Tickets for the rest of the four-game homestand can be purchased on Rangers.com.
