ST. LOUIS — Updates are in the works for the Boathouse at Forest Park and officials are gathering insights from the community to help shape the improvements.
A public survey has been launched on Forest Park Forever’s website, in partnership with the City of St. Louis Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry.
Those who take the survey can provide feedback on the Boathouse restaurant, watercraft-related rentals, catering and event spaces, according to Forest Park Forever’s online press release.
“The Boathouse has become a popular destination since its initial restoration in 2003, and we want to ensure its future reflects the needs and desires of the entire St. Louis community,” said Lesley Hoffarth, president and CEO of Forest Park Forever, in the press release.
“This survey is a chance for everyone—whether they visit the Boathouse regularly or have never been—to share their thoughts on how we can make it even better.”
Enhancing the overall experience for visitors and attracting more guests over the winter months to the park is the goal of the project, according to the press release.
“We’re very excited to hear and receive invaluable public input as we plan Boathouse improvements that help serve our visitors in all seasons,” said Greg Hayes, director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry for the City of St. Louis, in the press release.
“Community feedback is essential in helping us make the Boathouse a place that remains welcoming, functional and enjoyable for everyone.”
The survey also is available at the Boathouse, recreation, centers and other public venues.
Those interested can take the survey through April 27.
