A greeting from a friend from another galaxy is just the beginning of a cosmic adventure at INTER, an immersive and interactive experience that transports visitors across the universe.
The exhibit, located in an old bank building at Broadway and Canal Street, takes families and children of all ages through 10 intergalactic zones designed to spark curiosity about space travel.
What You Need To Know
- INTER is an immersive experience in SoHo, Manhattan
- There are 10 immersive exhibits bringing visitors on a trip into space
- INTER originally opened in 2022 inside an old bank building on Broadway and Canal Street
“Every space has an activity for you to do, whether it’s high-tech or more low-fi,” said Maria Moyano, creative director for INTER.
Visitors can step inside a black hole and hear its eerie sounds straight from NASA, bounce through a swirling vortex, or explore a bioluminescent and volcanic planet.
“We are really excited about space travel and the concept of that, and it’s becoming more and more real in our everyday lives,” Moyano said. “So we wanted to give a fun new spin to it.”
Originally opened in 2022 with a different theme, INTER has fully transformed into a space-focused experience, complete with new characters and interactions.
"All of the spaces have new characters and new interactions, it's completely different new experience," said Moyano.
INTER is located in SoHo, and tickets can be purchased at INTER.NYC.
