The website allows those people to now openly apply and share their skills and interests. You will be connected to a job in state public service by an employment recruiter.

“My team at OSHR will help you find a job that matches your needs,” Office of State and Human Resources Director Staci Meyer said.

The industry the applicant is coming from doesn’t matter either, Meyer added.

Stein’s announcement comes as federal cuts continue to impact thousands of federal workers and their families.

Helene’s aftermath has also displaced many western North Carolina residents and the surrounding regions.
