Spectrum News NY1 and Roosevelt House will co-host a live panel on March 13 that will take a closer look at the political career of former two-term New York City Mayor John V. Lindsay.
The panel, which will take place at Roosevelt House, will see Errol Louis moderate a discussion that will include Lindsay’s deputy press secretary, Robert Laird; Sid Davidoff, a former Lindsay top aide; Ronnie Eldridge, one of Lindsay’s chief political advisors and a New York City councilwoman; and Joseph P. Viteritti, the author of "Summer in the City: John Lindsay, New York, and the American Dream," and the chair of the Urban Policy and Planning Department at Hunter College. It is inspired by the three-part "You Decide with Errol Louis" podcast series about the former mayor’s legacy.
The panel will discuss Lindsay’s eight years in office from 1966 to 1973, one of the most tumultuous and transformative times in New York’s recent history. It will explore his accomplishments as mayor, as well as the staggering number of challenges he faced during his two terms.
The event will be free to attend. Attendees will need to RSVP here.
