WORCESTER, Mass. - An organization which supports African youth and families in Worcester is joining forces with a local college.
Clark University and African Community Education signed a partnership agreement Monday.
The school said it reflects their commitment to community engagement.
The partnership will offer opportunities for internships, research, joint educational programs and campus visits for college-bound youth and their families.
"Clark is not a stranger to us, and we are not a stranger to Clark” said ACE Executive Director, Kaska Yawo. “So, we know the culture and we want to make sure we build this to strengthen people. And it's all about helping people that are in need. When they can't reach, we can make them to reach their potential."
ACE said they're hopeful they can form more partnerships with other schools in the state.
