There's always plenty to do in Ohio over the weekend, but Spectrum News 1 gathered some of the highlights around each major metropolitan area across the state.

Cleveland

The Elvis Tribute Artist Spectacular Birthday Edition

  • When and where: 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 12 at KeyBank State Theatre at Playhouse Square, located at 1519 Euclid Ave. in Cleveland
  • Cost: Ticket prices range $25 to $55
  • Info: Enjoy a concert that celebrates the various eras of the "King of Rock and Roll" starring Shawn Klush, Cody Ray Slaughter, Ryan Pelton and more 

Tobogganing at The Chalet

  • When and where: Open 6 to 9 p.m. Fridays and 12 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Feb. 23 at Mill Stream Run Reservation, located at 16200 Valley Parkway in Strongsville
  • Cost: Daily admission is $15, or $13 for children 11 and younger
  • Info: Want to make the most of the winter weather, consider a ride down the 700-foot chute on the weekends during the winter months

Columbus

Kids Paint Workshop

  • When and where: 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 12 at Global Gallery, located at 3535 North High St. in Columbus
  • Cost: $15 per child
  • Info: Help you child embrace their artsy side with this kids paint workshop. Admission includes instruction and materials

Kicking for a Cause

  • When and where: 6 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 11 at the Historic Crew Stadium, located at One Black and Gold Boulevard in Columbus
  • Cost: Tickets range from $15 to $30
  • Info: Enjoy various activities, organized play, snag some autographs and raise money to fight Type 1 diabetes and childhood cancer at this event

Cincinnati

Chili Fest

  • When and where: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Findlay Market, located at 1801 Race Street in Cincinnati
  • Cost: Tasting tickets are $20 for eight or $40 for 18
  • Info: Enjoy some warm chili and the cold air at this annual event trying chili from many different merchants

Cirque Du Soleil

  • When and where: Jan. 9-12 at the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati
  • Cost: Ticket prices vary, see website for details
  • Info: Incredible acrobatics are a known staple at the Cirque du Soleil, but with this show viewers can expect to see various performances on the ice as well

Dayton

Buckeye Wedding Expo

  • When and where: 1 to 5 p.m. Jan. 11 and 12 at The Dayton Arcade, located at 35 West 4th St. in Dayton
  • Cost: General admission is $5 online or $10 at the door
  • Info: Connect with wedding professionals, enjoy a runway show and even snag some gently used wedding supplies at this event

Ice Skating at RiverScape MetroPark

  • When and where: Open daily through February at the MetroParks Ice Rink at RiverScape MetroPark, located at 237 E Monument Ave in Dayton
  • Cost: Admission is $7 plus $3 for skates (free for kids 3 and younger)
  • Info: Going to the ice rink is perhaps the best way to enjoy the cold weather, and you can also make a stop at the RiverScape cafe for a warm drink and snack

Toledo

Toledo Farmers' Market

  • When and where: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday at 525 Market St. in Toledo
  • Info: Don't let the cold keep you from buying fresh produce and goods at the market, whether it's vegtables, cheese, meat, flowers, baked goods and more

Sourdough 101

  • When and where: 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 12 at Just Toledo, located at 909 Jefferson Ave.
  • Cost: $40
  • Info: If you didn't take a stab at it during the pandemic, consider learning to make your own sourdough at this workshop
