Naomi Biden, one of President Joe Biden’s granddaughters, used a post on social media on Election Day to reveal both that she voted and that she is expecting a child. The baby would be her first child, and would make the 81-year-old president a great-grandfather for the first time.
A photo posted to her Instagram story on Tuesday showed a side view of Biden’s baby bump bearing an “I voted” sticker.
“(we) voted,” text on the image read with an American flag and upside down smiley face emojis.
Naomi Biden, the president’s eldest grandchild, is the daughter of Hunter Biden and his ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle. Both Naomi Biden and Buhle were in the spotlight earlier this year when they were called to testify at Hunter Biden’s trail in Delaware in which he was convicted of three felony charges related to his purchase of a gun in 2018.
The president’s granddaughter married her husband, Peter Neal, in a rare wedding ceremony at the White House in Nov. 2022. She also spent time living in the White House during her grandfather’s presidency. She and Neal have been regulars at State Dinners for foreign leaders hosted by the president during his term.
