CLEVELAND — It's time to deck the halls with more than a million lights. 


What You Need To Know

  • The event will run from Nov. 12 to Dec. 30

  • More than 1.5 million lights will be on display with multiple themed areas

  • Santa Claus also made time on his calendar to be there for some photos

The 6th Wild Winter Lights will return to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo starting next month on Nov. 12. 

This year, the event will have more than 1.5 million lights with themes like the Enchanted Forest, Swan Lake, Candy Lane, Polar Pathway and more.

And for those lookiing to put a good word in with the big guy, Santa Claus will be there for photos. 

“This year guests will experience over a dozen walk-through displays, including larger-than-life holiday favorites,” said Kelly Manderfield, Cleveland Metroparks chief marketing officer. “Wild Winter Lights continues to be a timeless holiday tradition, and we are grateful to our community partners who help bring the holidays to life at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.”

Guests have two options: they can either walk through the park for the experience or they can do a drive-through.

The event will run on select dates from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. through Dec. 30. The zoo encourages tickets to be bought in advance, as they are limited. Tickets are $21 for members and $24 for non-members. There is also a four-pack option. Children under 2 can see the lights for free.
