Hudson Valley Oktoberfest

Craigville Park in Goshen will become a lively German park this weekend filled with a Bavarian dining hall, biergarten, traditional German faire and music and more than 100 craft vendors, games and amusements.  

The event is 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Maple Ski Ridge Fall Fest

Held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, the Maple Ski Ridge Fall Fest features a craft fair, car show, music, chairlift rides, games, bounce houses, hay rides and more. A portion of proceeds supports the Schenectady Firefighters Cancer Foundation.

The event is held at Maple Ski Ridge, 2725 Mariaville Road, Schenectady. There is a $5 fee to park.

Sugar Mountain Celebrates Neil Young

Sugar Mountain, a group of veteran musicians from the New Jersey music scene, will play songs written/performed by Neil Young at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Silk Factory in Newburgh.

“Sugar Mountain brings to life the Neil Young concert experience, covering all of the best known songs, hits and deep cuts that are sure to thrill all, from the most ardent of fans to the casual Neil listener.”

Troy Chowderfest

Restaurants in downtown Troy will showcase their unique chowder offerings at the 2024 Troy Chowderfest, being held from 12 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The walkable event offers opportunities to explore downtown Troy and its restaurants. All samples are $2 per four-ounce cup.

Businesses will serve chowder from their storefronts, while guest cooks can partner with them to bring their soups.

One of the highlights is the People’s Choice Award. Winners will be chosen by vote, including for the coveted title of Troy's Best Chowder.

Saratoga Siege Weekend

Visitors are invited to experience the revolutionary history of the Saratoga region through demonstrations, historical encampments and immersive experiences at multiple historic locations: the Saratoga Battlefield, General Philip Schuyler House, Saratoga Monument, Fort Hardy Park in Schuylerville and Stillwater Blockhouse.

Brews & Views

Running concurrently with the Fall Festival at Belleayre Mountain in Highmount, Ulster County, Brews & Views takes place at the Discovery Lodge from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

You can find craft beers and cider from local breweries, live music and food sampling. Or, take a scenic gondola rides with views of the Catskill Mountains.

Bridal & Wedding Expo

Those looking to plan their big day or just browse, the Bridal & Wedding Expo returns to the Albany Capital Center from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The event can connect you with wedding professionals and their services. There are more than 65 exhibitors this year, live bands, DJs, food samples, makeup and fashion offerings and more.

Admission is free with online registration here, or $10 at the door. Children younger than 16 are free.
