"Chicago"

Meet the new “Countess of the Clink.” Broadway favorite Orfeh is Matron Mama Morton in the long-running revival of "Chicago" at the Ambassador Theatre now through Sept. 15.

This weekend, “On Stage” will feature an interview with the Tony-nominated actress about her return to Broadway in the Kander and Ebb classic.

"McNeal"

Heading uptown to Lincoln Center, Oscar winner Robert Downey Jr. is preparing for his Broadway debut in "McNeal" by Pulitzer Prize winner Ayad Akhtar. Directed by Tony winner Bartlett Sher, Downey plays Jacob McNeal, a celebrated writer struggling to reconnect with his estranged son.

McNeal begins previews at the Vivian Beaumont Theater on Sept. 5, with opening night set for Sept. 30.

"Cats: The Jellicle Ball"

On the off-Broadway front, catch "CATS: The Jellicle Ball" before it closes on Sept. 8 at the Perelman Performing Arts Center in Lower Manhattan.

Forbidden Broadway

Finally, the musical theater parody revue Forbidden Broadway returns to New York with a new show titled "Merrily We Stole a Song."

Expect twists on shows currently playing on Broadway, such as "The Outsiders," "Hell’s Kitchen" and "The Great Gatsby," along with appearances by Ariana DeBose, Jeremy Jordan, Daniel Radcliffe and others.
