MILWAUKEE — Two Wisconsin women are working to raise awareness about resources for women’s fertility and wellbeing space as well as provide education on topics that often are not talked about, such as perimenopause.
Theresa Kopac and Rebecca Jankowski are the founders of Interwovxn. They said they are on a mission to give women a platform during the middle-aged experiences.
One way they are doing that is by hosting a screening of “Periodical,” a documentary that examines the science, politics and culture around the menstrual cycle.
Proceeds from the event will support Milwaukee’s Diaper Mission’s Period Program for menstruators in need.
The documentary screening will take place Wednesday, Aug. 21 at Next Act Theater, 255 S. Water Street. Doors will open at 6 p.m. The film will show from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. A panel discussion will take place after the screening. If you’d like to learn more about Interwovxn, click here.
