MILWAUKEE — A suspect in D’Vontaye Mitchell’s death has posted bond, according to CCAP.

Suspect Devin Johnson-Carson posted his $5,000 cash bond on Monday and is no longer being held in the Milwaukee County Jail.

Johnson-Carson is one of four men charged with the murder of Mitchell, who was killed outside the Hyatt Hotel in Milwaukee on June 30.

The other suspects are 60-year-old Todd Alan Erickson of Milwaukee, 35-year-old Brandon LaDaniel Turner of Milwaukee and 52-year-old Herbert Williamson of Milwaukee.

Williamson is being held on a $15,000 cash bond and has a hearing on Friday. Turner is still in jail on a $30,000 bond; Erickson also remains in jail on a $50,000 bond.

According to a criminal complaint, the four hotel employees dragged Mitchell out of the Hyatt Hotel after Mitchell entered a women’s bathroom and held him on his stomach for eight or nine minutes.

One employee told investigators that Mitchell was having trouble breathing and repeatedly pleaded for help, according to the complaint.

All four suspects have preliminary hearings on Aug. 19.
