A 3-year-old girl was struck and killed by a vehicle in Harlem Thursday night while crossing the street, according to the NYPD.

The incident happened at West 135th Street and Lenox Avenue around 7:40 p.m., police said.

The 3-year-old, identified by police as Jaynelyse Valdez of New Rochelle, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police said a 2-year-old boy was also struck by the vehicle. Authorities said he is expected to survive his injuries.

A 4-month-old boy who was also at the scene was not injured, police said.

According to police, the children were with their 37-year-old mother at the time they were struck. The mother was not injured, police said.

Authorities said the driver, a 40-year-old male, got out of his car and helped rush the woman and her children to Harlem Hospital nearby.

The incident remains under investigation, and no arrests have been made.
