A white sheep was rescued after roaming around a parking lot in Sunset Park over the weekend.

NYPD officers from the Mounted Unit and Emergency Service Unit showed up to corral the animal Saturday at around 1 p.m. Officers then brought the sheep to Animal Control in Brooklyn.

Since nobody claimed the sheep, the animal was sent to Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue, a nonprofit in New Jersey.

That is the same place that Ricardo, the bull that rose to fame after running wild on New Jersey Transit tracks, was taken after being rescued.

The owner of the sheep was still unknown as of Monday afternoon. There are slaughterhouses in the Brooklyn area where the sheep was found.
