In "Young and Restless: The Girls Who Sparked America's Revolutions," author Mattie Kahn delves into the often-overlooked stories of teenage girls whose contributions have been omitted from the history books. 

Kahn said her inspiration for the book was drawn from her desire to “dissect the social forces that made girls a cultural fixation — but seldom earned them respect or power.” 

She appeared on "Mornings On 1” Monday to discuss her book in greater detail and shed light on the narratives of these young trailblazers.
