Hockey fans, mark your calendars because the Rochester Americans' home opener and full schedule are now officially set in stone.

On Friday, Oct. 13, the Amerks will square off against the Bridgeport Islanders at the Blue Cross Arena.

Rochester is set will play 24 of its 36 home games on weekends, and will have 18 Friday home games, three Saturday home games and three Sunday home games.

Among the highlights of the schedule includes a pre-Thanksgiving Day game against the Laval Rocket on Wed., Nov. 22 and a contest against the Syracuse Crunch on Wed., Dec. 27.

The team announced that all home games will start at 7:05 p.m. this year, with the exception of three Saturday games that will start at 5:05 p.m. The Amerks’ three Sunday afternoon games will begin at 3:05 p.m. or 4:05 p.m.

The 2023-24 season will be Rochester's 68th in the American Hockey League and 42nd as the top affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres.
