A house fire on Staten Island killed two children and injured four others Friday morning, the NYPD said.

The FDNY said the fire broke out shortly after 10:15 a.m. Friday at a house on Van Duzer Street.

Firefighters responded to calls of children trapped on the second floor, according to the FDNY.

According to the NYPD, a 5-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 6-year-old boy was pronounced dead at Staten Island University Hospital.

Two boys — ages 5 and 10 — are in critical condition at the hospital, police said.

A 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy were also hospitalized with smoke inhalation, but they are expected to survive, officials said.

One firefighter was treated for minor injuries, according to fire officials.

The fire is under investigation.
