It's a homecoming for the new leader of the Diocese of Brooklyn.

Bishop Robert Brennan is a Bronx native who grew up on Long Island. Most recently, he served as the Bishop of the Columbus Ohio Diocese.

He officially started his new job a couple of weeks ago. He will now lead about a million and half Catholics in Brooklyn and Queens. The diocese is one of the largest and one of the most diverse in the country.

Bishop Brennan joins NY1 to talk about some of his priorities and goals.
