The nation is still reflecting and recovering in the aftermath of Wednesday's riot in Washington, where mobs of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol with the hopes of getting Congress to change the results of the election.

One thing that's been speculated after the events is what would have happened if the demonstrators were Black Lives Matter activists? Would their treatment and reception have been the same?

Retired NYPD Chief and former Baltimore Chief of Police Kevin Clark, who spoke with NY1's Lewis Dodley, said he believed it wouldn't have been any different.

He said he believes officers at the U.S. Capitol did all they could do while being understaffed and underprepared.
