BROOKLYN, N.Y. - An investigation is ongoing after two FDNY vehicles collided early Thursday morning in Brooklyn, leaving one person dead and several others injured.

Fire officials say an EMS truck was transporting two people from an all hands fire when it collided with an FDNY ladder truck around 1:50 a.m. at Myrtle Avenue Throop Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

A 59-year-old male patient who was being transported was pronounced dead at Woodhull Hospital.

A female family member of the patient who was riding inside the ambulance is listed in critical condition.

Two EMS members were taken to Brookdale in stable condition

Six FDNY members were taken to area hospitals in stable condition.
