ERLANGER, Ky. — Northern Kentucky is officially home to a new 575,000 square-foot Amazon sort center that's creating over 1,000 new jobs. The center opened for its first day of operation Thursday, welcoming new associates.

Positions at the center include part-time and full-time, all paying at least $15 an hour.
All full-time employees also receive a benefits package including full healthcare, a 401(k) with a 50 percent match, and access to continuing education via Amazon's Career Choice Program.
Part-time employees receive vision and dental benefits, life and AD&D insurance, funding toward health insurance, and access to the Career Choice Program. The program provides funding toward tuition for courses in high-demand fields.
Seasonal part-time associates receives a 401(k) and life and AD&D insurance.
To apply for a job, candidates must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates can apply online for the jobs.
In a new release, Amazon announced that between June and April, it invested over $4 billion in COVID-19 related safety measures. Of the $4 billion includes over $800 million spent on temperature checks, masks, enhanced cleaning, gloves, and sanitation stations.
