BRONX, N.Y. - Police have arrested and charged the man accused of killing a transgender woman in the Bronx last month.

Police say 21-year-old Alpha Diallo stabbed 32-year-old Tiffany Harris in the chest in Fordham Heights on July 26.

Diallo is charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.

A vigil was held for Harris in Morrisania on Friday.

Mourners and local leaders say her death fuels the Black Trans Lives Matter movement.
