MILWAUKEE (SPECTRUM NEWS) -- The Democratic National Convention Committee and the Democratic National Committee released the schedule of events for the upcoming convention and the DNC officers. The schedule and proposed officers were submitted to the DNCC Rules Committee. The committee plans to ratify both of these at a meeting on Friday. 

Monday, August 17 will begin with opening ceremonies. The day will also include committee reports and select speakers. 

The keynote address is set to be given on Tuesday, August 18. Presidential candidate nominating and seconding speeches will be given, followed by the roll call vote for the presidential nominee. 

Wednesday, August 19 the vice-presidential candidate will be nominated and give their acceptance speech. 

Thursday, August 20 the Democratic presidential nominee will give an acceptance speech and the DNC will adjourn.
