NEW YORK - Gov. Andrew Cuomo marked the start of the city's reopening and the return of regular transit service with a subway ride into Manhattan on Monday morning.
The governor took the 7 train from Court Square in Queens to Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan and was joined by NY1's Roma Torre.
During an interview last month, Cuomo told Torre, "When I open the city I will ride the subway."
The MTA returned to regular subway and bus service today for the first time in several months.
Riders are required to wear face coverings.
