CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. -- Officials with the Airborne & Special Operations Museum in Fayetteville are planning to make the visitor experience better in the future.
Organizers with the museum's foundation are doing a fundraiser to bring in $8.5 million. The money will go towards more technology like virtual reality, holograms, and tablets within the museum.
As of February 2020, the museum's foundation raised $3 million and expects to reach their goal sometime in 2021.
"Everybody should be excited about getting money into your museums," museum visitor, Will Cross said. "History is something that you can't get rid of...You have to keep it going."
The museum is accepting donations from the general public, corporations, private donors, and other foundations. To help, click here.
