There's a new exhibition at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum honoring the work of police dogs in the aftermath of the attacks.
"K-9 Courage" features photographs and artifacts of the service dogs, and is accompanied by an audio tour.
In the wake of the attacks, hundreds of dogs searched for victims and comforted families as well as first responders.
"The dogs resonated so much with people in 2001 at a time when it felt there were the only hope for finding anyone alive and the images of the dogs stayed with so many people,"
The exhibit will be on display until next summer.
