President Trump gave his two-cents on a proposal for a massive sea wall to protect New York City from severe storms like Hurricane Sandy.

The wall in question was detailed in a recent New York Times article.

The plan is to make a series of islands stretching between the Rockaways in Queens, to a strip of land in New Jersey, south of Staten Island.

The islands would have retractable walls constructed between them.

It's the most expensive of five plans the Army Corps of Engineers is reportedly considering, at $119 billion dollars.

Trump railed against the idea in a Tweet last night, saying the wall, "is a costly, foolish & environmentally unfriendly idea that, when needed, probably won’t work anyway. It will also look terrible. Sorry, you’ll just have to get your mops & buckets ready!"

Either way, New Yorkers won't see the wall anytime soon, as The Times reported that experts say even if it was approved, it would take 25 years to build.
