DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. -- Weathervane Winery in Davidson County has expanded their amenities to allow people to stay right in the area without having to leave the property.

  • The cabins opened in October of 2019
  • They range from $80-$100 a night
  • More information can be found on their website

Owners Sid and Miranda Proctor have many guests from out of town, and there are no hotels in the immediate area. The two came upon an eight-acre property next to the winery two years ago, and purchased it. In October, they opened up cabins for their guests to stay in.

"It's very nice when we have wedding festivities and after-hour events for people that are not local, that choose not to drive, can have a place close and not get on the road," Miranda said.

The two cabins are equipped with a kitchenette, a den with a gas-log fire place, vaulted ceilings, queen beds, and bathrooms. They range anywhere from $80-$100 a night, and in the near future they plan to add hot tubs to the outdoor decks.

Northern Davidson County Chamber of Commerce President Kenyon Rush said this is not only a great addition to the winery, but also to the area.

"It's something else to choose from that gives another option for people from out of town to come in and stay," Rush said.

Cabins have already booked guests since their opening in October. For more information you can visit their website.
