WILMINGTON, N.C. -- OCEARCH is tracking several great white sharks off our coast, including one nearly 15 feet long and 1,300 pounds.
The group tags the sharks with GPS trackers.
It's tracked about 10 great whites over the past few weeks.
Founder Chris Fischer says the area off Cape Hatteras is a staging area for migration in the fall and spring.
The latest ping off the North Carolina coast was yesterday morning.
It came from a 10 foot-long male that the group named Shaw.
