STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - A two-alarm fire on Staten Island Thursday morning left two firefighters in serious condition.

The FDNY says the call came in just after 8:30 a.m. at 415 Livermore Avenue in Westerleigh.

Fire officials say 25 units were called to the scene along with 106 firefighters and EMS.

The firefighters who were seriously injured were transported to Richmond University Medical Center.

Their injuries are non-life threatening.

Six other firefighters at the scene were treated for minor injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
