CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Halloween came a little late for some people in Charlotte this week.

A well-known haunted house in the Elizabeth neighborhood known as “Rosemont Manor” opened Friday because of Thursday’s rain.

Around 1,000 people attended. They were greeted by fire dancing, stilt-walking, and actors aimed to scare.

Despite the time and expense, the event was free with a suggested donation.

The benefits went to the SPCA.

This year’s theme was Stranger Things.
