STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Staten Island's Wagner College has suspended a psychology professor who's accused making threatening remarks.

Students reported Richard Brower to campus safety officers.

They claim he told them he would shoot students in one of his other classes.

Police sources say Brower also told one student in particular to make sure he showed up.

NY1 spoke with some of his former pupils, who say Brower was a bit strange.

"So he'll describe different forms of psychology and then he'll just use random sex examples and it was very odd," said one stuident. "Off the top of my head I can't really remember, but it was kind of more with the lesson of psychology, but sometimes inappropriate jokes, stuff like that."

Wagner College says it has banned Brower from campus indefinitely.

He has not responded to NY1's request for comment.
