Police have identified the young boy struck and killed by an SUV in Queens.

Police found three-year-old Mardichai Yovits unconscious and unresponsive yesterday morning on Virginia Street near Elvira Avenue in Far Rockaway.

Investigators believe the child ran into the middle of the road, when a 73-year-old woman driving a hit the child.

He was rushed to the hospital but died from his injuries.

The driver did stay at the scene, and no charges are expected.

Mayor de Blasio expressed condolences towards the family on Twitter, writing, "Our hearts break for this little boy’s family. I can’t imagine their grief in this moment. The NYPD is thoroughly investigating this tragedy. We’ll be increasing enforcement all through September to keep our young people safe as school begins."
